How To Dress For This Crappy Weather

If you’re anything like me, you’ll find dressing for this weather a nightmare.

One minute we’re hearing reports of a random February heatwave (I’m sorry, but 13 degrees is NOT a heatwave), and the next we’re battling the elements because of storm Gertrude.

I’m soooo ready for spring and moving away from black – there’s only so much I can continue to walk around like I’m in mourning – but the weather isn’t cooperating with my plans.

But never fear, being the dedicated Instagram scroller / avid people watcher that I am, I’ve come up with a few tricks to ensure we’re all looking fabulous in Feb and beyond.

Bright Knitwear

It’s still freezing but the desire to shake off the darker tones is strong, so bold knitwear pieces are the perfect compromise. I love this statement knit from H&M Trend – the volumous sleeves are bold and a stylish statement in their own right, and the soft pink is giving me major spring vibes.

Neutral Tones

I’m loving all of the creams, beiges and browns that are filling up my Insta feed. Keeping your outfit all similar, lighter shades feels chic and gets away from those dark vibes

Floral Dresses & Biker Boots

This is my default outfit if I’m having a fashion meltdown in the morning. Always looks cool and requires minimal effort. For chillier days I layer up with a Uniqlo vest underneath and thicker tights
